Painting No. 102, 15x30, oil on cradled hardboard SOLD I'm posting this out of order since we had forgotten to take a photo of it before hanging it at the EarthFare show. :) This is very similar to another painting I did of the same size titled 'Midwest Beauty'. That piece really connected with a lot of people and I wanted to try it again going a little bolder with the colors and brushstrokes. I'm happy with how this turned out, I love the sense of movement with the brushwork, especially in the foreground. :)

Painting No. 107, 9x12in, oil on hardboard This was an exercise that I found on DailyPaintworks. The challenge was to paint an apple multiple times, using only 10 mins. per 'mini painting'. I was really excited to try this, I thought it would be fun and I felt fairly confident since apples are one of my favorite subjects. Well, the battle of Artist vs. Apple didn't quite turn out the way I was expecting, that darn apple kept winning! I literally screamed/groaned each time the timer when off! Ahhhh! The whole point isn't to make you a speed painter, but to help you be more efficient in you methodology and brush work. It will was fun though (while equally frustrating if that seems possible), seeing that it was so different from the norm for me to try something like this. I challenge Apple to a rematch, it won't get the best of me!!!
Painting No. 106, 6x6in, oil on hardboard $50, email me to purchase I painted this as a little 'prototype' for a large piece (3'x3') I want to do for our new living room. I love the color aqua and really wanted that to very prominent. The goal was for it to be a loose impression of a landscape with a modern feel. I am very pleased with how it came out...now I just hope I can get the same results when I go bigger with it! :)
Painting No. 105, 6x6in, oil on hardboard Wanted to paint another bluebird....I don't like this one quite as much as my first one though. :)
Painting No. 104, 6x6in, oil on hardboard SOLD I LOVE how this one turned out! Pretty sure chickadees are the cutest birds ever! :)
