This is the reference photo I used for this painting...it's from our family vacation this summer in South Haven, Michigan. I snapped this shot on the start of a morning walk with my mom and the kids. I just love the variety of greens and the value changes as the road goes back. This small painting was a great color study for me...I went on to paint a larger painting of this scene, that one will be no. 145.
