Painting No. 39, 6x6in, oil on gessoboard One neat thing thing about being a part of the Daily Paintworks community is that there is a section for artist 'challenges'. This is especially helpful when I am lacking inspiration and just don't know what to paint. This one was a simple challenge; there was a black and white photo provided of these two piggie banks that you could use (or you could use another reference as long as it was a pig theme.) I'm really happy with how mine came out. I was able to keep the brushwork angular and it was also really fun to do. This might be my favorite painting in my journey so far! :) Click here to see how other artists' work who submitted work in the paint-a-pig challenge.
