For this painting, I used a photo that I had taken during my trip to Southern California back in 2008. I was visiting my dear friend Kristin. (I wish she didn't live so far away!!!) The landscape in L.A. is just so different than Indiana! I was taking lots of photos from the car as we were driving around...and five years later, I'm glad I was able to pull this one out. :) I think we often become immune to the beauty of our 'local landscape' and it takes fresh eyes to see the beauty.
