Painting No. 62, 63, & 64, 16x20in triptych, oil on cradled hardboard Not for sale, Commissioned Piece I was commissioned to create this landscape triptyph for a dear college friend of mine. It was a challenge since I have always admired Mel's own artistic abilities, so to paint something for HER was a slightly intimidating, yet exciting challenge. Luckily, I'm really pleased with the results...and so is she! :) I like that I was able to keep the brushstrokes loose with lots of movement. I also was intentional about creating brushstroke variety. I used a really big brush for laying in some of theh sky color, and I really like how that turned out. Now if Mel weren't so busy taking care of four kids under the age of five, I'd be asking her to paint something for ME! ha ha :) Left side Middle Right side
